Short version: DeskWalker has no account and no backend. Sessions stay on your iPhone. With your permission they are also saved in Apple Health, and a connected pad is read over Bluetooth.
1. Data we collect
DeskWalker has no account and no backend of its own. It does not store your sessions on a server.
Session records, profile settings, and preferences are stored on your device. With your permission, workouts are also saved in Apple Health.
2. Apple Health
With your explicit permission, DeskWalker reads the following data types from Apple Health:
- Heart rate samples
- VO₂max / Cardio Fitness
- Active Energy Burned (for post-session afterburn)
- Body mass
Those reads stay on your device. When you allow it, stopping a walking-pad session saves an Indoor Walk with duration, active energy, and distance. A standing session is saved as Other, with energy and no distance. Estimated step samples are written only if you turn on Sync estimated steps. DeskWalker reads body mass and does not write weight back.
3. Analytics & crash reporting
DeskWalker contains no analytics SDK, crash reporting service, or third-party tracking library. Zero telemetry data is collected.
4. Purchases
DeskWalker Pro is a monthly subscription, a yearly subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase, processed by Apple. DeskWalker uses RevenueCat to verify purchases. RevenueCat may collect anonymised purchase event data in accordance with their own privacy policy. No personally identifiable information is shared with RevenueCat beyond what Apple provides as part of the standard receipt.
5. Children's privacy
DeskWalker is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any data from children.
6. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially, the updated version will be published at this URL with a revised date. Continued use of the app after any change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
